A native of Portland, Maine, Alex Q. Arbuckle graduated from New York University with majors in photography and politics. His work has been featured online by outlets including the New York Times Lens Blog, The New Yorker, National Geographic, Vogue, Buzzfeed, Huffington Post, HLN, CBS, and exhibited by the South Street Seaport Museum.
From 2015 to 2018 he wrote and curated historical photo essays for Retronaut on Mashable. From 2018 to 2023 worked in a number of curation and editing roles for Google via Blink. He is presently developing a book and exhibit on the wild bird life of NYC.
He is currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
